Buttress thing is welded up.
Still got a long ways to go...
Next 20 inches or so of lower middle rocker is cut away, revealing corrosion on lower portion of inside inner rocker.
This section of inner rocker is reinforced with a simple length of 1/8" bar stock.
Simple home-made tool to assist fabrication of the inner rocker patch. Square section tube is clamped into vise; other end supported by I-beam and wooden blocks. 16 gauge part is clamped between square tube and L-section bar. Tabs can now be accurately bent. (See below.)
Tabs mentioned above are necessary to conform upper edge to indentations left from original stamping.
