Photo This year's 18th Annual Concorso Italiano was more spectacular than ever, with many milestones to report.

For the first time Concorso Italiano was held at an entirely new venue: on the Monterey Peninsula's beautiful Black Horse Resort at Seaside where the event had lovely views of the Pacific and more room to accomodate the ever growing pilgrimage of car fanatics the world over!

Keith Martin, the Editor & Chief of the Sports Car Market Magazine served as Concorso's Master of Ceremonies. No one has a better more detailed yet humorous perspective on the connossier car world than Keith. This year the event featured Lamborghini's 40th Anniversary with the North American debut of Lamborghini's new "baby" supercar, the V10 Gallardo (pronounced "guy-yard-o"). The famed designer, Pietro Frua was this year's featured designer.

Of particular interest to Alfisti is that this year's winner of the Best of Show category was Joe Nastacio's superbly restored Tipo 33/2 V8 racer ! Also making news was the presentation of a lovely Alfa Romeo 166, by the event planners of RadnorConcours.org. Apparently, Mr. Michael Tillson III will plans to import new Alfas legally into the US by early to middle of 2004.

Finally, the show stopper for many Alfisti at Concorso this year was the opportunity to see, hear and touch the now world famous Alfa Romeo / Giugiaro Brera! To see this car in the "flesh" was quite an experience. Pictures do not do this car justice. It's painted in a beautiful irredescent 2 color paint job and is as exotic as any Lamborghini or Ferrari on the green.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, and I hope you'll make it next year to Concorso Italiano 2004!
