Autodelta, a London-based Alfa tuner, recently unveiled it's J12 range at the Autosport International 2002 tradeshow, with customer deliveries scheduled for March. The J12 and J12-EVO models, based on Alfa Romeo's 147 compact model, feature the same powerful turbocharged TwinSpark motors currently used in Autodelta's 156 and Spider/GTV conversions - putting out up to 230 bhp. Autodelta is offering the J12 with 3 engine variations: the 1.6 liter Twinspark producing 180 bhp, a midrange 2.0 liter Twinspark producing 205 bhp (also available with Selespeed), and a high-output 2.0 liter producing 230 bhp.
Autodelta turbocharges these engines with a water-cooled Garrett T25 turbo which produces .7 bar of boost. The turbo is intercooled and breathes through stainless tubular manifolds.
Exterior bodywork for the J12 packages will be produced by Autodelta's Creativestudio manufacturing and Styling division based in Oxford, England. They are offered in both conservative and more agressive EVO body styles.
